Hoakalei Cultural Foundation programs of stewardship — partnering with community members — have continued and grown throughout the year. Phase II of the Kauhale Heritage Trail has been opened, extending the trail system to a larger section of the traditional village site.
On March 19th & 20th, the Pu‘uloa Outrigger Canoe Club (POCC), Kamehameha Schools/Ipu Kukui Program and the Hoakalei Cultural Foundation hosted more than 90 students in canoe/cultural enrichment program at the Haseko Lagoon and Hoakalei-Honouliuli coastal lands.Participants joined in program

The Hoakalei Cultural Foundation organized the 7th annual Arbor Day Celebration which included a free workshop with Guest Speaker Rick Barboza of Hui Kū Maoli Ola. The program occurred on November 9, 2013, and provided particitpants with a free Ōhai and Pōhinahina plant.
